Why I am a Physical/Occupational Therapist:
I have the typical story of a Physical Therapist. I was an athlete and was injured in High School. After going through therapy, I knew I wanted to pursue that career!
Continuing Education Commitment:
Over the past 17 years of practice, Joel has been part of 2 multi-year residencies, earning his PhD in Orthopedic Manual Therapy in the process, and earning a place on the faculty for the Ola Grimsby Institute. As an instructor, Joel is committed to learning and utilizing the best techniques available to improve his patients’ overall health. Most recently Joel joined the Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT). The “Fellow” is a physical therapist who has demonstrated advanced clinical, analytical, and hands-on skills in the treatment of musculoskeletal orthopedic disorders and is internationally recognized for their competence and expertise in the practice of manual physical therapy.
