Aiko Araki

Why I am a Physical Therapist: When I was in high school, I participated in cross country and track and field. During this time, many of my friends and teammates became injured, received physical therapy, and successfully returned to competitive running.  I chose to become a physical therapist because I want to help people return to the activities they love to do.

Continuing Education Commitment: Aiko is dedicated to continuing her knowledge base by surrounding herself with experienced clinicians and pursuing continuing education that supports maximizing her patient’s function. She is looking forward to completing a vestibular competency course to benefit those with vestibular and balance issues.

Personal Interest: Aiko grew up in Southern California and moved to Seattle to explore the Pacific Northwest. She is an aspiring backpacker, avid hiker, and accomplished distance runner. She is excited to adventure and travel with her fiancé as they begin their new life together. While at home, she enjoys immersing herself in a good book, experimenting with new recipes, playing board games with friends, or her newest hobby, painting.

Educational Background: Aiko received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Chapman University in California. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree from Whittier College in Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences with a minor in Spanish.
